La vegetazione del complesso forestale regionale «Bandite di Scarlino» (Grosseto, Toscana meridionale).

The vegetation of «Bandite di Scarlino» Regional Forest (southern Tuscany). The results of a vegetation survey carried out with the Braun-Blanquet method on the Regional Forest named «Bandite di Scarlino», located in southern Tuscany (Grosseto Province), are here presented. Vegetation has been described by literature information and by statistical analysis of 234 original phytosociological relevés, which have allowed several vegetation types to be singled out (associations belonging to Crithmo-Limonietea, Cisto-Lavanduletea, Quercetea ilicis, Querco-Fagetea and Salici purpureae-Populetea nigrae classes). Then, the study briefly considers the distribution of plants and habitats deserving conservation treatment according to European Habitat Directives and Tuscan laws.
