The first section of the article offers a complete overview of the linguistic geography of the Hindu Kush/Karakorum chain, stretching from eastern Afghanistan to Kashmir across the Northern Areas of Pakistan. The second section is dedicated to a linguistic description of the language of the Kalasha of Chitral, the last polytheists of the Hindu Kush.
