The abstract describes measurements of protein-DNA interactions performed on Lactose repressor employing an ultra-fast force clamp optical tweezers apparatus. The tweezers are employed to suspend a DNA molecule containing two Lac operators. Interactions of the protein with operators and non-specific DNA are measured.
