In this work we propose a device that can be used to reduce Adverse Drug Events (ADEs) in the drugs administration process. The devices is a container that is able to check if the drugs inserted in it are compatible to the ones prescribed for a particular patient. The device mechanically is provided with an electronic lock that prevents the opening in case there is some mismatch between the patient and the drugs. The system includes a custom electronic board based on a Texas Instruments passive RFID reader operating at 13.56MHz, and a custom firmware.

The devices is a container that is able to check if the drugs inserted in it are compatible to the ones prescribed for a particular patient. The device mechanically is provided with an electronic lock that prevents the opening in case there is some mismatch between the patient and the drugs. The system includes a custom electronic board based on a Texas Instruments passive RFID reader operating at 13.56MHz, and a custom firmware.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
