The Quest for Constitutionalism. South Africa since 1994

The volume provides a timely assessment on the progress made towards the achievement of a constitutional democracy in South Africa. The chapters collectively present an in-depth analysis of the development of the legal system and of the implications of the Constitution for the social configuration of power. Co-edited with Hugh Corder (University of Cape Town- South Africa) and Romano Orrù (University of Teramo- Italy) the volume is structured in five parts and it counts 18 chapters authored by South African (13 authors) and Italian scholars, with an Introduction by the editors and the Foreword by Albie Sacks, Justice of the South African Constitutional Court (1994-2009).
