The thesis investigates the potential utilization of activity sensors located on GPS radiocollars for the identification of behaviour in wild and farmed ungulates, in particular wild and captive red deer (Cervus elaphus) and beef cattle on pasture, as well as for the study of some aspects of their activity patterns and rhythms.
