Tuscany have high animal biodiversity (Arsia, 2006). Among the domestic species, six Tuscan sheep breeds are known. Appenninica sheep lives in the Appeninino mountain range areas. Other breeds (Massese, Garfagnina bianca, Pomarancina, Zerasca, Pecora dell’Amiata), were selected during the decades in different hilly or mountainous areas.
