Organic productions are growing in all EU. Also in Romania, the organic certified area reached 230.000 ha in 2011: 34,4% cereals, 1,4% dried pulses, 20% oilseeds, 0,4% vegetables, 34% grasslands, 2,1 green fodder and 2,8% permanent crops. On the other hand, Romanian organic animal production decreased from 2009 and 2011, also if the total number of organic heads resulted higher in comparison with many EU countries (European Commission, 2013). At the same time, the Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity, based in Italy, highlighted many interesting Romanian typical products collected in its ‘Arc of Taste’ (http://www.fondazioneslowfood.com/en/ark-of-taste-slow-food). Abstract

Organic productions are growing in all EU.
