The conference was aimed at the investigation of how external influences and local trajectories affect the hisorical development of various regions of the prehistoric Mediterranean and Europe. Contributions cover Levant, Aegean, Central Mediterranean, Central Europe and Scandinavia, from Bronze Age to Iron Age. This introduction explains it and examines how the various articles contribute to the conference's theme.
