"The vessels in cooking fabrics from Room Epsilon in House II.1"

The work presents the first publication of the first-hand study of the cooking wares from House II of the site of Petras, Crete (LB IB, end of the Neopalatial perido). The study provides an outline of the typology and possible regional variations of the main pottery types, some statistics on shapes and fabrics. Typology can be a guide to different cooking methods and habits and gives insights into the differential chronological evolution of cooking wares across various Cretan regions. Since cooking wares have been generally somewhat neglected by mainstream pottery studies until the beginning of a new wave of attention quite recently, this article contributes substantially to set up the frame for a new line of research on the topic.
