Il saggio interpreta brevemente la scrittura autobiografica di tre grandi maestri della letteratura per ragazzi: Mark Twain; Rudyard Kipling, Roald Dahl. In questo contesto la scrittura di sè non assume i connotati di strumento di cura o di introspezione, ma come testimonianza diretta di esperienze di vita e professionali.
