Studi legali digitali: una “rivoluzione silenziosa”, informale e dal basso

The article deals with the topic of technological change in the professional services sector. In detail, the first part analyses this phenomenon within the framework of a wider process of change, which involved professional work in the last century. It then focuses on the interac- tion between the «marketization» of professions and the emergence of new technologies, based on the review of a literature that is primarily Anglo-Saxon. The second part, instead, aims to evaluate the impact of ICTs on working conditions in law firms and, on the other hand, the possibility that they develop «latent functions», giving rise to alternative forms of interest representation, based on the results of two empirical researches. To conclude, a reflection on the opportunities that open up for collective actors.
