Edilizia residenziale pubblica a Firenze: l'indagine storica archivistica per la valutazione del comportamento strutturale

In the city of Florence since the XIX century many public housing interventions have been carried out. Because of their dimensions, they contributed to the transformation of the city in the external are as around the historic centre. Through the ages, many institutions built several interventions for over twenty thousand apartments. These buildings precede the introduction of seismic codes; while they have been studied for their social purposes and urban planning, their vulnerability have never been checked. The present study aims to the investigation of the archive records about economic public interventions during the XIX and XX centuries in Florence. Nowadays, the records have been kept in different places from which they store different informations.This study wants to determine an overall picture about the archives for public housing nterventions in Florence in order to deepen building-types for an assessment of the structural behaviour at urban scale. The informations have been gathered in a GIS database for the management of the data collected.
