Archaeobotanical investigations at Gonfienti, a Middle Bronze Age-Iron Age settlement in the mid-Arno River Valley (Tuscany, Italy), revealed the human activity in the territory, in particular crop cultivation and plant gathering from the wild. The progressive decrease of the plants of wet environment hints to interventions for soil reclamation around the Etruscan city.
