The reviewed book contains essays devoted to the city of Lviv, a rare example of multiethnic community in Central-Eastern Europe of the past centuries. The essays range from history to literature, from archaeology to architecture and provide a vivid picture of this unique city, which is partly still preserved in its present appearance.
