In Italy the INA-Casa project represents one of the most relevant public interventions aimed at solving the housing emergency. In the city of Florence architect Francesco Tiezzi, novice of Michelucci, has been involved in the design of several public housing interventions. In the 50’ he planned two different building settlements of minimum houses. Settled in external areas of the city, the interventions are characterized by two different architectonical typologies in bearing walls, used over 28 buildings for 298 apartments. This study aims to the assessment of structural performance of the considered buildings. The “Knowledge path” provided by the codes with a relevant diagnostic and experimental campaign has been adopted. Surveys allowed a coherent mechanical characterization of materials and the calibration of structural models. Seismic analysis has been performed by pushover analyses adopting equivalent frame models. The obtained results, expressed by the ratio between capacity and demand, allowed to highlight the structural performance of the case studies.

Abstract
The obtained results, expressed by the ratio between capacity and demand, allowed to highlight the structural performance of the case studies.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
