Le forme del silenzio. Narrazione agiografica e istruzione spirituale negli scritti del patriarca bulgaro Eutimio (1320/1330 - ca. 1402/1409)

The author analyses the experience of silence in the writings of the Bulgarian patriarch of Euthymius of Tarnovo a protagonist of the monastic renaissance movement in the Balkan area, known under the name of hesychasm. In particular, the Life of Paraskeva was examined which introduces into the heart of the Eastern monasticism, transplanted into the Slavic world, in an equally rich and complex form compared to theological reflections.
