The paper would give information about a first description of Irene Kowaliska, polish artist who comes to the Amalfi coast in 1931 to deepen their knowledge in traditional ceramic manufacturing. In Vietri Irene works at the Ceramica Salernitana Industry, she attends the group of artists that revolves around the company including Richard Dölker, Barbara Margarethe Thewalt-Hannasch, Marianne Amos. In 1942 Irene moves to Positano and starts a new business creating sketches for fabrics. Irene Kowaliska was an eclectic artist who during his professional career has experimented with various fields of applied arts.
