The cultural program Missing Masses - Masse Mancanti promote the creativity of artists and social theorists and civic associations to provide insights and opportunities to explore the multiple entanglements of contemporary art and social change. Exhibitions, discussions, meetings, artists' residencies, and workshops involved nearly three thousand people in several cities of Tuscany in an overall cultural impact that inspired direct public participation in the planned initiatives. This book is a research outcome of this program.
