SHOAH E PERCORSI STORICO-EDUCATIVI DELLA MEMORIA EUROPEA. UNO SGUARDO A CIÒ CHE RESTA ESSENZIALE TRA PASSATO E FUTURO

Il saggio descrive e analizza la costruzione della memoria in Europa, a partire dai luoghi di memoria internazionale come Auschwitz. I testimoni diretti che furono i primi a spingere per la conservazione di luoghi di memoria che permettessero di conoscere e raccontare. Il contributo ricostruisce le fasi di emersione del racconto della Shoah nei luoghi della memoria, in particolare Auschwitz, e introduce una riflessione critica sul ruolo che storia e memoria potranno avere dopo la fase pandemica. The essay describes and analyzes the construction of memory in Europe, starting from places of international memory such as Auschwitz. The direct witnesses who were the first to push for the preservation of places of memory that would allow us to know and tell stories. The contribution reconstructs the phases of emergence of the story of the Shoah in places of memory, in particular Auschwitz, and introduces a critical reflection on the role that history and memory may have after the pandemic phase.
