L’interessante raccolta di Stefanelli, che presenta tra l’altro preziosi studi su particolari aspetti della semantica dantesca, tende a sottolineare quanto sia singolare e sublime avventura dantesca del triplice viaggio: il primo, quello terreno dell’esperienza fisica; il secondo, quello linguistico e poetico; il terzo, quello ultraterreno nei tre diversi regni. Le tre solitudini dantesche sono, insomma, in tutto simili a quel «vento / che le più alte cime più percuote» (Pd. XVII 133-34), tutte, però, sorrette dallo spessore della sua lingua. Il triplice viaggio, visto secondo questa prospettiva, ha un esito inaspettato, rendendo l’avventura sublime di Dante «una e trina». Stefanelli's interesting work, which presents, among other things, valuable studies on particular aspects of Dante's semantics, tends to emphasise how singular and sublime Dante's triple journey is: the first, the earthly one of physical experience; the second, the linguistic and poetic one; the third, the otherworldly one in the three different realms. Dante's three solitudes are, in short, in everything similar to that 'wind / that strikes the highest peaks most' (Pd. XVII 133-34), all, however, supported by the thickness of his language. The triple journey, seen from this perspective, has an unexpected outcome, making Dante's sublime adventure 'one and three'.
