An innovative system allowing the recovery of cold energy from LNG regassification terminals is analyzed. The system uses a closed pwoer cycle (Nitrogen) and a gas turbine/combined cycle unit with orecooling of inlet air. An exergy, exergoeconomic and off-design (yearly) simulation of operation with variable environmental conditions is presented, demonstrating the advantages of the proposed solution.

Abstract

An innovative system allowing the recovery of cold energy from LNG regassification terminals is analyzed. The system uses a closed pwoer cycle (Nitrogen) and a gas turbine/combined cycle unit with orecooling of inlet air. An exergy, exergoeconomic and off-design (yearly) simulation of operation with variable environmental conditions is presented, demonstrating the advantages of the proposed solution.
