Disability Studies e Musicoterapia: percorsi per l'inclusione

As many authors suggested, disability and neurodiversity are part of human conditions and in most of cases,including autism, cure is neither possible nor desirable. Disability Studies in music therapy affirm that every musical experience could benefit from diversity, instead of trying to propose a cure or remedy, as therapists we should invert our clinical tendencies. Instead of trying ti understand if music therapy is a valid therapy or not, search into measure the level of interest, participation,attention, we should try to modify our approach,that is not inclusive, and aspire into a social action of collective responsibility, reminding the social value of making music together.
