Bullismo femminile: presentazione della ricerca quantitativa di un’indagine nazionale mixed-method

Il bullismo rappresenta, per la sua gravità e diffusione, un tema cruciale per la ricerca educativa, anche nell’ottica di adottare appropriate strategie educative di prevenzione e contrasto. Una delle possibili piste di indagine è l’adozione di una prospettiva di genere. Spesso infatti il bullismo viene studiato con un approccio universalistico, nonostante la ricerca evidenzi la presenza di peculiarità che è possibile associare, seppur non esclusivamente, ai diversi generi. Il progetto nazionale «Il bullismo femminile a scuola. Un’indagine intersezionale mixed-method» ha la finalità di comprendere meglio il bullismo tra ragazze, adottando una prospettiva di genere e intersezionale. Il presente contributo illustra la parte quantitativa della ricerca. Verranno discussi gli esiti relativi all’incidenza e alle caratteristiche del bullismo e approfondite le differenze di genere emerse. I risultati confermano la rilevanza del fenomeno ed evidenziano lo sguardo peculiare delle ragazze, fornendo sostegno all’utilità di adottare uno sguardo di genere nello studio del bullismo. Due to its seriousness and prevalence, bullying is a crucial topic for educational research, also in order to adopt appropriate educational strategies to prevent and tackle it. One of the possible avenues of investigation is the adoption of a gender perspective. In fact, bullying is often studied with a universalistic approach, despite the fact that research shows the presence of peculiarities that can be associated, albeit not exclusively, with different genders. The national project «Female bullying at school. An intersectional mixed-method investigation» aims to better understand bullying among girls by adopting a gender and intersectional perspective. This contribution presents the quantitative part of the research. The outcomes regarding the incidence and characteristics of bullying will be discussed and the gender differences that emerged will be explored. The results confirm the relevance of the phenomenon and highlight the peculiar gaze of girls, providing support for the usefulness of adopting a gender perspective in the study of bullying.
