This book is concerned with the analysis of quantitative longitudinal outcomes by means of linear regression models. It is designed to be an effective tool for applied researchers and students in the fields of epidemiology, health, social and behavioral sciences. No speci c mathematical background is needed for a clear understanding of the topics presented in the textbook, as emphasis is mainly given to interpretation rather than to the mathematics behind the methods. Besides that, basic statistical concepts, e.g. what a covariance or a correlation represent, are required. Particular attention is posed on the treatment of missing data. These represent a rather common drawback of any study, but their presence is even more pronounced within the longitudinal framework, as they may indeed occur at any measurement occasion. This renders the treatment of such an issue absolutely valuable to be presented and discussed in a book on longitudinal data analysis as the one at hand.
