Lacio Drom. Storia delle "classi speciali per zingari". Rom e sinti a scuola 1965-1982

Il volume ricostruisce la storia delle classi "Lacio Drom", le "classi speciali per zingari" che furono create in Italia nel 1965 e che continuarono ad essere attive fino al 1982. Nate da una convenzione tra Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione e Opera Nomadi, le Lacio Drom furono classi differenziali che, seppur nate con l'intento dell'inclusione, generarono profonda emarginazione. Il volume ricostruisce questa vicenda attraverso le pagine del bimestrale di Opera Nomadi e tramite la testimonianza diretta di rom e sinti che furono alunne ed alunni in quelle aule. The volume reconstructs the history of the "Lacio Drom" classes, the "special classes for gypsies" which were created in Italy in 1965 and which continued to be active until 1982. Born from an agreement between the Ministry of Public Education and Opera Nomadi, the Lacio Drom were differential classes which, although born with the intention of inclusion, generated profound marginalization. The volume reconstructs this story through the pages of Opera Nomadi's bimonthly magazine and through the direct testimony of Roma and Sinti who were pupils in those classrooms.
