Which were the paths Italian vocational education going through between 1945 and 1962? The paper aims at highlighting the topic through the analysis of the review “Homo faber”. The decision of considering vocational education as a part of high schools influenced dramatically the history of Italian middle schools. As the review hosted a wide heterogeneity of contributions, these sources make possible to analyse how conception about vocational education have been changed throughout time.
