The paper deals with Danilo Dolci's elaboration of his pedagogy, occurred since the end of the Sixties. Dolci's pedagogy was shaped and put in practice in western Sicily since his arrival, but it was theoretized only some years later. It has been designed as a pedagogy for a welfare society as well as for marginalised communities. As underlined here, his stress on co-education and on the relevance of groups in individual learning has to be interpreted at the light of the individualism ans the libertarianism developed by the Sixty-Eight movement.
