Among the “deuteragonists” which should be analysed by history of education because of their work in post-war Italy, a remarkable place should be dedicated to Marcello Trentanove (1924-2017). As headmaster of the primary school in Bagno a Ripoli (Florence) between 1964 and 1990, he stimulated a broad cooperation among schools, local administrations, and parents for supporting the didactical innovations he introduced in his school between the Sixties and the Seventies: i.e., the firsts State-funded nursery schools, the full-time elementary schools, and the integrations of pupils with disabilities in common classes. This paper aims at focusing at the introduction of full-time elementary schools, highlighting how Trentanove (graduated in Pedagogy at the University of Florence in 1950) was connected to Lamberto Borghi, Giacomo Cives and Francesco de Bartolomeis’ theoretic proposals.

Abstract
This paper aims at focusing at the introduction of full-time elementary schools, highlighting how Trentanove (graduated in Pedagogy at the University of Florence in 1950) was connected to Lamberto Borghi, Giacomo Cives and Francesco de Bartolomeis’ theoretic proposals.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
