The work describes a software simulator for automotive radar receivers designed to handle Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) signals . The simulator operates in the currently utilized 76–81 GHz frequency band and the D-band (110–170 GHz), which has been allocated for future use in Europe. The simulator is developed to evaluate the effects of interfering systems in realistic traffic scenarios, considering the configuration parameters of automotive radar sensors. We analyze and discuss the impact on the Signal-to-Noise-plus-Interference Ratio (SNIR), assuming that both the interfering and interfered systems employ either FMCW or OFDM signals.

Abstract
The work describes a software simulator for automotive radar receivers designed to handle Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) signals . The simulator operates in the currently utilized 76–81 GHz frequency band and the D-band (110–170 GHz), which has been allocated for future use in Europe. The simulator is developed to evaluate the effects of interfering systems in realistic traffic scenarios, considering the configuration parameters of automotive radar sensors. We analyze and discuss the impact on the Signal-to-Noise-plus-Interference Ratio (SNIR), assuming that both the interfering and interfered systems employ either FMCW or OFDM signals.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
