This study focuses on developing a physical-mathematical model for non-prismatic beam-like elements with fully deformable cross-sections, undergoing large displacements and small strains. The primary objective is to analytically assess how geometric characteristics, such as cross-sectional taper and pre-twist, influence the mechanical behavior of these structural elements, as well as the resulting stress and strain fields.

Abstract

This study focuses on developing a physical-mathematical model for non-prismatic beam-like elements with fully deformable cross-sections, undergoing large displacements and small strains. The primary objective is to analytically assess how geometric characteristics, such as cross-sectional taper and pre-twist, influence the mechanical behavior of these structural elements, as well as the resulting stress and strain fields.
