Declinazioni d'acqua, molteplicità di paesaggi. Abitare la complessità nel sistema d'acque mantovano.

Di fronte alle molteplici evidenze di un processo trasformativo che sta notevolmente alterando i caratteri dei territori in cui viviamo, i paesaggi d’acque, spesso fragili e instabili, rivendicano di essere ripensati in termini di salvaguardia, gestione e pianificazione. La complessità rinvenibile nel sistema d’acque mantovano, insieme al valore patrimoniale di questi luoghi e alla singolarità con cui natura, acqua e uomo si sono storicamente intrecciati, ha consentito di eleggere il nodo di Mantova a campo di applicazione della ricerca. Più precisamente, lo studio esplora l’area collocata a nord di Mantova, sede di un framework eterogeneo di intersezioni fortemente influenzato dalla presenza del sistema d’acque Garda, Mincio, Fissero Tartaro, Canalbianco, Po. La ricerca propone la lettura del contesto mantovano adottando la lente interpretativa dell’acqua che, attraverso una pluralità di forme e funzioni, influenza il processo di configurazione dei territori e condiziona la crescita dei diversi paesaggi. Una certa rilevanza nello studio dell’area è affidata alla costruzione di un sistema integrato di conoscenze, la cui complessità è dapprima espressa attraverso la lettura delle singole specificità e poi affrontata tramite l’esplorazione delle trasformazioni avvenute e delle dinamiche in corso. L’intera esplorazione affonda le proprie radici nel valore della visione sistemica, ossia nella tensione osmotica tra osservazioni di ampio respiro e considerazioni di carattere puntuale. Muovendo dalla ricerca di una postura altra per abitare e valorizzare la complessità nel sistema d’acque mantovano, lo studio offre uno spazio di riflessione intorno alla più ampia natura del progetto per i paesaggi d’acque. Facing the multiple evidences of a transformative process that is altering the territories in which we live, the water landscapes, often fragile and unstable, claim to be rethought in terms of protection, management and planning. The complexity found in the Mantuan water system, together with the patrimonial value and the singularity with which nature, water and man have historically intertwined, has allowed the Mantuan node to be elected as the field of application of the research. More specifically, the study explores the area located north of Mantua, an heterogeneous framework of intersections strongly influenced by the presence of the Garda, Mincio, Fissero Tartaro, Canalbianco and Po water systems. The research proposes an interpretation of the Mantuan context by adopting the interpretative lens of water which, through a plurality of forms and functions, influences the process of configuration of the territories and affects the growth of the different landscapes. A certain relevance in the study of the area is entrusted to the construction of an integrated system of knowledge, the complexity of which is first expressed through the reading of individual specificities and then addressed through the exploration of the transformations occurred and the dynamics in progress. The entire exploration is rooted in the value of the systemic vision, that is, in the osmotic tension between wide-ranging observations and punctual considerations. Starting from the search for another posture to inhabit and enhance the complexity in the Mantuan water system, the study offers a space for reflection around the broader nature of design for water landscapes.
