Here we proposed to focus on the preliminary identification in circulating positive influenza virus samples of a reassortant strains, through High Resolution Melting (HRM) analysis. The design was focused on PB2, PB1 and PA gene identification from A (H1N1)pdm09 and A(H5N1) strains (lineage goose/Guangdong, clade 2.3.4.4b), as primary gene segment that could be indicative of a potential reassortment for a new pandemic threat.

Abstract

Here we proposed to focus on the preliminary identification in circulating positive influenza virus samples of a reassortant strains, through High Resolution Melting (HRM) analysis. The design was focused on PB2, PB1 and PA gene identification from A (H1N1)pdm09 and A(H5N1) strains (lineage goose/Guangdong, clade 2.3.4.4b), as primary gene segment that could be indicative of a potential reassortment for a new pandemic threat.
