The origin of this important festivity lies in the Exodus tale of the liberation of the Israelites from the Egyptian captivity. Trough the semantic analysis of lexemes related to freedom it’s possible to understand the meaning of freedom for the Jewish people and the origin of the Passover holiday, which is closely intertwined with the concept of freedom and liberation.
