Abstract

From the 6th century on, some fragments written transversa charta are known, coming from rotuli with literary texts in the Christian tradition. We can identify the general influence of documentary writing habits on the production of literary rotuli, but also the specific influence of 6th century festal letters (e.g. P.Grenf. II 112) produced by the Alexandrian patriarchate.
