The thesis focuses on ground deformation in volcanically and geothermally active regions of Ethiopia using satellite remote sensing, InSAR data, and geophysical modeling. The studies investigate magmatic, hydrothermal, and salt-related subsurface processes at the Tulu Moye volcanic complex and Dallol volcano. By identifying active deformation sources and modeling magma and fluid pathways, the research directly supports the sustainable development of geothermal energy (Affordable and Clean Energy) and promotes the use of innovative monitoring techniques (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure). Additionally, it improves understanding of geohazards and land stability, contributing to safer, more resilient communities (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and informed climate adaptation strategies (Climate Action).

Abstract
Additionally, it improves understanding of geohazards and land stability, contributing to safer, more resilient communities (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and informed climate adaptation strategies (Climate Action).File | Dimensione | Formato | |
