La letteratura operaia degli anni Settanta: il caso di Tommaso Di Ciaula

The article traces the development and characteristics of work- ing-class literature of the 1970s, starting with a comparison with the industrial literature of the boom years, and then focusing on one of the most successful texts, Blue Overalls by Tommaso di Ciaula. The themes and compositional strategies used by the au- thor are analyzed in order to emphasize the collective valence of the narrative voice and its life experience, in accordance with what appears to be the main feature of the working-class writings of the decade.
