Abstract
Analytical records of historical drawings of the Campanile of Pisa Cathedral (Leaning Tower), with a particular focus on the work of Alessandro della Gherardesca. Through the technical description of the drawings and their critical interpretation, the study investigates the role of architectural representation in constructing the conservation history of the monument. The analysis reveals the documentary stratification that accompanied the different "lives" of the Tower, highlighting the interplay between nineteenth-century survey practices, historical-architectural knowledge, and heritage preservation projects of Pisa's monumental patrimony.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
