Marine microbiomes: the role of bacterial communities as biomarkers of anthropogenic environmental contamination in crustaceans and in seafood-safety

In this thesis, the role of microbial communities associated with marine organisms (talitrid amphipods and teleost fish) is explored as both ecological indicators and biotechnological resources. The work is organized in two complementary sections, linked by second-generation sequencing applied to microbial communities and subsequent metagenomic analysis.
