"Human Mobility and Social Protection in Europe: Comparative Studies and Professional Practices" explores the relationship between migration, social protection, and welfare systems in contemporary Europe through a comparative and interdisciplinary perspective. Developed within the Horizon 2020 project Global-ANSWER, the volume analyses institutional frameworks, professional practices, and local responses to human mobility in countries such as Italy, Spain, and Sweden. Particular attention is devoted to the growing politicization of migration and its effects on public debate, policy-making, and migrants’ access to rights and social services. Combining academic research and practitioners’ experiences, the book highlights both structural vulnerabilities and innovative inclusive practices, advocating for a rights-based and socially sustainable approach to mobility in Europe.
