This thesis describes the analysis of protein-ligand interactions in between Siglec-7 and several sialylated glycans throughout different biophysical and structural biology techniques. NMR spectroscopy has played an important role in these study given the low-affinity nature of these kind of interactions. Furthermore, this thesis also describes the application of solution NMR spectroscopy for the characterization of the preservation of the Higher Order Structure of L-Asparaginase II upon erythrocyte encapsulation.

Abstract

This thesis describes the analysis of protein-ligand interactions in between Siglec-7 and several sialylated glycans throughout different biophysical and structural biology techniques. NMR spectroscopy has played an important role in these study given the low-affinity nature of these kind of interactions. Furthermore, this thesis also describes the application of solution NMR spectroscopy for the characterization of the preservation of the Higher Order Structure of L-Asparaginase II upon erythrocyte encapsulation.
