Abstract

In the ager Faliscus, the tuff dominated geological landscape and the innate nature of a border area between Etruscan and Italic cultures, influenced the process of assimilation of the Roman architectural models introduced in the Faliscan area after the Roman conquest. By analysing the funerary architecture of Falerii Novi’s southern necropolis along the Via Amerina, this paper will discuss evidences of glocalization in South Etruria, between the middle republican age and the imperial time.
