In this study, an X-band unmanned aerial system (UAS)-based synthetic aperture radar (SAR) was employed to generate a digital elevation model (DEM) of the illuminated area. The radar system is equipped with multiple receiving channels that operate simultaneously, enabling single-pass interferometry with a fixed baseline. A method for DEM retrieval is presented and validated using experimental data acquired over a natural slope. Data from multiple flight passes were combined to improve the accuracy of the DEM. The obtained results are compared with an independent photogrammetric DEM.
