RITRATTI DI DONNE. LA FARSA VENEZIANA PER MUSICA COME SPECCIO DELLA SOCIETÀ FEMMINILE TRA SETTE E OTTOCENTO

La tesi analizza la rappresentazione delle figure femminili nelle farse per musica veneziane tra il 1797 e il 1818, con particolare attenzione al Teatro San Moisè. Attraverso l’analisi di 112 libretti, lo studio indaga i rapporti tra donne, matrimonio, autorità e desiderio, soffermandosi sulle forme di agency femminile e sulle modalità con cui la farsa rappresenta e negozia i ruoli di genere. The dissertation examines the representation of female characters in Venetian farsa per musica between 1797 and 1818, with particular attention to the Teatro San Moisè. Based on the analysis of 112 libretti, it explores the relationships between women, marriage, authority and desire, focusing on forms of female agency and on the ways in which the farsa represents and negotiates gender roles.
