In hot and cold steel rolling vibratory phenomena often occur. If not adequately controlled they are detrimental to strip quality. In the present paper a model of a single rolling stand is proposed and the usual control technique of strip tension in the inter-stand region has been analysed. The performance of another technique taken from scientific literature, known as NIC, has been investigated in order to minimise low frequency vibrations in 10÷50 Hz frequency range.

Abstract
In hot and cold steel rolling vibratory phenomena often occur. If not adequately controlled they are detrimental to strip quality. In the present paper a model of a single rolling stand is proposed and the usual control technique of strip tension in the inter-stand region has been analysed. The performance of another technique taken from scientific literature, known as NIC, has been investigated in order to minimise low frequency vibrations in 10÷50 Hz frequency range.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
