The presence of numerous wild ungulate stock farms in Tuscany was a motivating factor in the creation of the project entitled ‘Sanitary Monitoring Project for Wild Fauna in Stock Farms in the Tuscany Region, financed by the ARSIA. The objectives of the project included providing definitions of sanitary problems, processing adequate working protocols and the verification of the validity of management instruments; in summary, characterising the sanitary surveillance program.

Abstract
