Abstract “Premessa terminologica – Simboli e ordinamenti” ITALIANO L’esplicitazione delle questioni terminologiche che riguardano la sociologia degli ordinamenti politici è frutto della riflessione più generale sui problemi della traduzione dei contributi scientifici, raccolti nel volume monografico bilingue (italiano/tedesco) degli “Annali di Sociologia /Soziologisches Jahrbuch” sul tema “Simboli e ordinamenti politici”. Accanto all’approfondimento delle scelte fatte su alcuni termini tematicamente centrali quali ‘Repräsentanz/Repräsentation’, ‘ordine/ordinamento’, ‘Geltung’, ‘Sinn’ e alla discussione di una serie di termini del lessico socio-politico tedesco, non facilmente trasponibili in italiano a causa della loro semantica complessa o delle loro connotazioni specifiche (ad esempio, Steuerung, Leistung, Billigkeit, Entflechtung), vengono presi in esame alcuni termini per così dire classici della sociologia weberiana quali Herrschaft e Macht, Anstalt, Zweckrationalität, Gehorsamsbereitschaft, con i relativi termini composti e/o derivati. Sullo sfondo della trattazione dei singoli problemi concettuali e lessicali, documentati con appropriate esemplificazioni, vengono affrontate le tematiche generali dell’equivalenza traduttiva e della traduzione italo-tedesca nelle scienze sociali e umane. INGLESE The clarification of terminological issues concerning the sociology of political systems is a result of the more general reflection on problems related to the translation of the scientific contributions collected in the bilingual (Italian(German) thematic volume of the “Annali di Sociologia / Soziologisches Jahrbuch” on the topic “Symbols and political systems”. In addition to the analysis of decisions taken for the translation of some of the thematically central terms such as ‘Repräsentanz/Repräsentation’, ‘ordine/ordinamento’, ‘Geltung’, ‘Sinn’, and to the discussion of a number of German lexical items that are not easily transposable into Italian, due to semantic complexity or specific connotations (e.g. Steuerung, Leistung, Billigkeit, Entflechtung), the contribution focuses on a few concepts that can be considered classical in Max Weber’s sociology, such as Herrschaft and Macht, Anstalt, Zweckrationalität, Gehorsamsbereitschaft, with the related composed or derived terms. The treatment of single conceptual and terminological issues, documented by appropriate examples, is supported by the discussion of general topics concerning translation equivalence and the German-Italian translation in the social and human sciences.
