In the last years Climatology becomes more and more a discipline applied to several fields as agriculture and forestry, land management, pollution control, architecture, energy, seasonal predictions, adverse weather protection, insurance, water resources management, human health, global change detection and impacts evaluation, etc. A large amount of knowledge coming from micrometeorology, biometeorology, meteorology, dynamic and synoptic climatology, should be used together as a tool to approach each application. The aim of this handbook is to collect basic definitions and equations, figures, methodologies, information, useful to face the problems of applications. The book is intended as a useful tool for professionals already trained in the field. The book covers each basic parameter such as temperature, radiation, wind, rainfall, humidity, evapotranspiration, pressure and related processes, containing a total of 424 equations and 223 tables. Each parameter is subdivided in three main topics. The first cover the basic equations and laws concerning the parameter, the second its effects on plants, animals and humans, the third the climatic features and climatological aspects. The introduction of each topics would help to understand the criteria assumed to report the basic relations and related equations, being that the review couldn't be exhaustive of the whole matter. An effort has been done to report the figures for most of the coefficient of the equations in order to allow the practical computations.
