ABSTRACT. The volume contains some of contributions of the Florentine school related to the actor’s memory in visual arts. The iconographic documentation, presented through significant exempla, is assumed by several authors as more or less direct evidence of theatre performing, as “cultural object”, and is used through multiple perspectives designed to investigate the real theatralicality, to reveal even behind the events on which it is evidence, the subtle outcome of a cultural climate.
