This paper reports the most recent advancements of the research activities on the damped cable system for the seismic protection of new and existing frame buildings. These new activities concerns the final definition of the computational model of the system, suitable for use with commercial finite element programs; the evaluation of further high-performing geometrical layouts of the cables; and the simulated application of this technology to representative case studies.
